Result of December 2002 Arcadia SuperFro Ride

Now on a stand, 1995 Diamondback WCF 2.0

That's just a hairline - superficial right?

Let's enhance the damage for all to see

I have finally put the bike somewhat together

Rhode Island - Just riding along.... NOT. On a cold December day, a few of the usual crew arrived in Arcadia for a mountain bike ride - guest of honor: Michael DeLessio, UK. So of course I HAD to ride. It was a cold day, snow on the ground but sunny as could be... perfect! Anyhoo, we're heading toward one of our favorite trails, the Ridge Rock, and I'm tweaking through some of the technical stuff on the way down to the pooling area (aka rest area). Guys had been getting sticks and branches in their frames and wheels all day so I was not to be different. I pulled over to let the guys go by and I reach down to grab the branch....errr where is it? I hear something rubbing. So I stop completely and look for what's rubbing up with the rear tire. I see nada, so I hop back on and look down ....Whoa! I can see the ground through the chain stay side. By the time I realize a serious problem was present everyone had ridden by already so I had to ride to catch back up. These guys went a long way man, and I gingerly rode the bike along. When I FINALLY caught up Mike asked, "What's the matter" and I casually said, "I broke the frame" DOOH!
