New Hampshire - Well here we are in Littleton, a short 23 odd miles north of Lincoln and N. Woodstock. We drove by Canon Mountain Ski Resort and saw "the Old Man" of the mountain. It's a rock formation that shows a profile of a face if you look up the mountain at the right angle. Littleton is a neat town full of little shops and eateries. The interior was a bit plain but the food was pretty good. Mom got tomato soup, AnnMarie had fries (home cut) and I had.... A HOT DOG... Mmm Mmm! The mug we got here was the most expensive so far at a whopping $8. We were a bit full but boy we still had 2 diners to go! We headed back to Sunny Day Diner in N Woodstock.
We arrived and were happy to see it was open for 'dinner'. The outside is emaculate and the interior is just the same. This diner has an executive chef that makes their food. There a big story about it on the back of their menu - I'll see about scanning that in. But I got ... a HOT DOG and mom & Annie split one. The girl at the counter asked us if we do this for fun or if this was a project. For FUN!
Well we left here and headed south to Tilton about an hour away. Luckily there was a cool General Store in Ashland and an Outlet Store mall in Tilton here so we went and walked all over the place before heading over to the the Tilt'in Diner. It was interesting from the outside, a traditional diner attached to a building (to accomodate more patrons that's for sure!) We went inside and wanted to sit up front in the original section. I got a cheese burger (yum) and AnnMarie got chicken fingers.... mom got a chicken club that Ed (my bro) got to enjoy as a leftover the next day. By the time we left, snow had started to fall, very lite (good thing) and by the time we got to Massachusetts it was raining. Well that's the trip... hope you enjoyed - I'll bet you felt full just reading this trip!
